Writer Director Tricia Cramer met Producers Mary McCune and Brian Peterson, Cinematographer Matt McCanna, and AD Christian Fernandez, and Editor/Colorist Kaitlyn Cortes at CUNY Brooklyn College's new Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema. With the shared camaraderie that comes in an intense film school schedule and collaboration, SUCKER began to take shape.
Filmed over the course of five days in Flushing, Queens, on a RED camera and vintage anamorphic lenses, the filmmakers worked to tell the larger story of how women are seen within the actual story of how an unusual connection can change the way a teenager both views his parents.
